Two Examples of Natural, Homeopathic Methods to Cure Cancer

Posted on December 19, 2009

cureribbonIt has long been questioned how well cancer cures in modern medicine really work.  Some seem to work spectacularly well for some people and not work at all for others.  Some do nothing but make things more miserable.

In recent years, many have questioned the absolute necessity of invasive and often painful treatments such as chemotherapy and have instead looked to other means for cancer treatment.  While quackery certainly exists in both established modern medicine and in the realm of natural and holistic medicine, it does not mean that all methods are wrong.

In his book “Living Proof: a Medical Mutiny,” Michael Gearin-Tosh talked about his battle with cancer and his decision to ignore modern medicine’s promotion of chemotherapy.  He turned instead to natural remedies, using a combination of curatives he learned through research while a professor at Oxford University.

His self-prescribed treatment included fruit and vegetable juicing combined with three coffee enemas per day, as noted in the Gerson therapy.  To this he added regular acupuncture, Vitamin C intake, and Chinese breathing exercises from Zen and Thai Chi.

He was expected to die within a year of his diagnosis, but instead he sat down to write his book seven years later.

This is a great example of someone who, having little to lose, decided to try something considered unusual.  Certainly Michael’s quality of life was better, whether he’d beaten the cancer or not.  As it was, he made the choices himself and so it was him taking his own well-being into his own hands rather than hope just consigning himself to destiny.

Another cancer survivor named Marilyn Brent was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Rather than submit to bouts of chemotherapy followed by a probably mastectomy, Marilyn decided to try something else.  She tried a natural cancer plan created by Solomon J. Wickey.

The plan includes a pint each of carrot and celery juice daily and a healthy diet without animal proteins, sugars, salts, eggs, dairy, white flower, or peanuts.  Her daily herbal intake was a teaspoon of red clover blend, whole apricot extract, and larger doses of food enzymes, parsley, and pau d’arco.

Finally, Marilyn prayed a lot, walked daily, and drank nothing but clean water.  For her, this system worked.

While Marilyn’s cancer was considered treatable, the prognosis was grim and she was facing years of pain and a lifetime of disfigurement.  Her choice was to try something else.

When faced with difficult life decisions such as these, some people accept their doctor’s prognosis and enter into treatment.  Some have success and others do not.  Others decide to try a different path and find a different way of dealing with their sickness.  Some have success and some do not.

What would your choice be?
